Grain is freemium: there is a free tier you can work in and paid plans above it. It is one of 426 freemium tools in the catalog, all labelled the same way so you are never surprised by a paywall.

Grain does 3 things the catalog singles out: Free viewer seats can access shared meetings and try ai notes at no cost; bot-free ai notes and recaps across zoom/meet/teams/webex; ai coaching and custom follow-up emails on business tier.
Anarlog (Hyprnote) is the closest free alternative: it sits in the same Meeting Assistants & Transcription sub-category and is free. NVIDIA Broadcast, Vibe and Bluedot also start free. The full list is on the alternatives page.
